Ashley Greene, who plays the fashion-obsessed Alice Cullen in the Twilight Saga, is proving to be a viable competitor for Kristen Stewart’s red carpet princess title.

She’s been wearing Donna Karan on the carpets and recently landed a DKNY fashion campaign – shot by famous fashion photog Peter Lindbergh.

Not coincidentally, she also wore Donna Karan Atelier and Jimmy Choo heels to the LA premiere of Apparition, which opens Friday, Aug. 24. We don't need to tell you red carpet watchers what couture means. For the rest of you, it means the dress was made just for her and that's a very big step up the ladder for Miss Greene.

She also has another film opening soon, Butter in which she stars with two other fashion babes, Jennifer Garner and Olivia Wilde. So there's another red carpet couture opportunity.

The Breaking Dawn -- Part 2 premiere is in November and that's guaranteed be a major fashion extravanganza, as it's the last time all the actors will appear together for the final film of the series, based on Stephenie Meyer's acclaimed series.

Given that Stewart may already be spoken for, because of her fragrance campaign for Balenciaga’s Florabotanica, Greene may become the best “get” for a big designer on the carpet.

FILM REVIEW: The Apparition

Will she go with another Donna Karan or aim her sights higher, say, for a European couture creation? Either way, more eyes than ever will be on this slender brunette beauty, whose long tousled brown hair is looking more like Stewart's style every day.

Ashley is being closely watched by Harpers Bazaar which posted a look-back gallery of her inspiring red carpet moments. She's also on the cover of the September Cosmopolitan and appeared on Jimmy Kimmel's show, where she joked about the "vagina" headline on her first Cosmo cover.
