'Beyond Twisted' booked for trial run

Harvey Levin exec producing new series

The forces behind "TMZ" are teaming for "Beyond Twisted," a new syndicated show incorporating professional and user-generated content.

Beginning July 6, Fox-owned TV stations will air an eight-week test run of the series exec produced by Harvey Levin, and produced by his company and Warner Bros.' Telepictures Prods.

Domestic TV Distribution is distributing the show whose format is similar to "TMZ," as it's shot in the producers' room and features staff members pitching segments of jaw-dropping clips from around the world.

The preview follows the same rollout pattern as "The Wendy Williams Show," which did a six-week test run on the Fox stations last year.

Scheduled to take part are WNYW-TV (New York), KTTV-TV (Los Angeles), KDFW-TV (Dallas/Fort Worth), WJBK-TV (Detroit), KSAZ-TV (Phoenix) and KMSP-TV (Minneapolis/St. Paul).
