Two IFTA execs renew contracts

Jean Prewitt, Jonathan Wolf on board through 2012

Jean Prewitt, president and CEO of the Independent Film & Television Alliance, and Jonathan Wolf, executive vp and American Film Market managing director, have renewed their contracts through 2012.

Prewitt has headed the trade organization since 2000. Wolf was appointed to his position in 1998.

"Jean has become a leading voice on behalf of the global independent entertainment industry. She has led IFTA's campaign against media consolidation and is an advocate for protecting net neutrality on the Internet, combined with copyright protection and effective enforcement," said board of directors chairman Lloyd Kaufman in announcing the contract extensions voted by the board.

He said of Wolf's role overseeing the AFM, "He has been the prime architect of growth and change, turning the AFM into the world's premier market for independently produced motion pictures."
