Two PR firms make moves

NEW YORK -- Heidi Slan has signed on as West Coast senior talent executive at publicity firm 42West. Another PR company, New York-based Falco Ink., has promoted Steve Beeman to senior vp, Erin Bruce to vp and Betsy Rudnick to senior account executive.

Slan arrives from PMK/HBH's Los Angeles office and will bring along most of her clients. She started her 10-year run with PMK/HBH at Huvane Baum Halls before its merger with PMK. She will work out of 42West's Century City offices.

Beeman and Bruce have worked at Falco Ink. since it was founded in 1999, and Rudnick has been with the company since 2002. Beeman's focus is unit film production, corporate and personal publicity, along with theatrical campaigns. Bruce works on film, DVD and unit publicity. Rudnick specializes in film, TV and events work.

Meanwhile, PMK-HBH's London office head James Dickinson and the company's sole Chicago exec Monique Huey-Jones have left that firm. Although PMK/HBH plans to maintain the London office, Huey-Jones will not be replaced with another Chicago executive.

Dickinson came aboard PMK/HBH in 2005 after a six-year run at Miramax Films' U.K. offices, where he was director of international publicity. He started the London office for PMK/HBH and its parent company, Momentum Worldwide, a division of McCann Worldgroup. Huey-Jones, an eight-year PMK/HBH veteran, moved to Chicago in part for family reasons, and was based in Momentum's offices.
