Tyler Oakley Manager Lisa Filipelli Leaves Big Frame to Start Standalone Firm
Filipelli's clients, including Ingrid Nilsen, Amanda Steele, Kian Lawley and Jc Caylen, have joined her at her new firm, Flip Management.
Lisa Filipelli has left Awesomeness-owned management firm Big Frame to start her own company, Flip Management.
One of Big Frame's earliest hires, Filipelli built out a roster of digital-first clients including Tyler Oakley, Ingrid Nilsen, Amanda Steele, Kian Lawley and Jc Caylen. They have all joined her at Flip along with eight of Filipelli's other clients.
Filipelli's departure from Big Frame comes about a year after NBCUniversal announced plans to acquire Awesomeness parent company DreamWorks Animation. Following the sale, Awesomeness co-founder and CEO Brian Robbins announced plans to depart. Former NFL Media executive Jordan Levin is stepping in to take over as chief.
Filipelli's last day at Big Frame was May 12. The management firm, which works primarily with YouTube stars and other online talent, also has seen the departure of managers Andrew Graham, who joined CAA's digital talent team, and Colette Patnaude, who co-founded management firm Expand Entertainment, in the past year.
Filipelli, who studied dance at DeSales University, started her career in the CAA mailroom before becoming director of talent at DanceOn. She later moved to Big Frame, where she rose to become vp of talent. She has also worked as a producer on Oakley documentary Snervous. Filipelli was named to The Hollywood Reporter's Next Gen class of 2015.
