Banks previously had a successful daytime talk show from 2005 to 2011 for which she won two Daytime Emmys.

Now, Banks is at the center of a new roundtable-panel lifestyle show called The FAB Life, which is being launched into national syndication this September by Disney-ABC Domestic Television.

FAB, which stands for “fun and beautiful,” features Banks and four co-hosts talking about fashion, food, decorating and do-it-yourself projects.

The Daytime Emmys will return to television Sunday, April 26, after being digital-only last year, on the CBS and Lionsgate-owned Pop network (formerly the TV Guide Network).

“I’m pumped,” says Banks, “to be partnering with a fun, new network like Pop to celebrate daytime TV and the die-hard fans that watch every day. Let’s do this!”

“With Tyra Banks as our host,” says Bob Mauro — president of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in New York, which awards the daytime honors — “all the pieces are falling into place for what I believe will be a truly memorable night on the legendary Warner Bros. Studios lot.”

Some 350 nominees are expected to be among those who will attend the live telecast of the awards on Stage 16 on the lot in Burbank. The show will dish out honors for soap operas, talk shows, game shows and more.
