U2 playing five nights on 'Letterman'

Unprecedented run starts March 2

U2 will perform an unprecedented five nights in a row on the "Late Show with David Letterman" on March 2-6, the release week of its next Interscope album, "No Line on The Horizon."

The last time U2 performed on the show was in 2001; prior to that Bono and Larry Mullen Jr. were interviewed by Letterman in 1997.

U2 has already started making media appearances in support of "Horizon," due March 3. The band played lead single "Get on Your Boots" at the Grammys on Sunday, and will appear at Germany's Echo Awards on Feb. 21.
