Udine grants 'Indulgence' premiere date

ROME -- The world premiere of Chinese director Zhang Yibai's "Mi guo" (Lost Indulgence) will be among the highlights of the 62-film Far East Film Festival lineup, organizers said Wednesday.

The 10th edition of the festival -- which takes place April 18-26 in the northern Italian city of Udine -- will open with the international premiere of the thriller "L: Change the World" from Japan's Hideo Nakata, a spinoff his modern-day horror classic "Death Note."

The Udine festival bills itself as the most important Asian film festival outside Asia.

"Mi guo" -- which explores the relationship between a mother and her teenage son after a mysterious woman moves into the house -- is set to screen in May at New York's Tribeca Film Festival.
