U.K. Audiences To Get 'The Dr Oz Show'
Discovery Networks U.K. has inked a deal with Sony Pictures Television to bring the show to British viewers.
LONDON – U.S. talk show The Dr Oz Show, is to prescribe health and lifestyle advice to U.K. audiences for the first time.
Discovery Networks U.K. has inked a deal with Sony Pictures Television (SPT) to bring the show here. Discovery plans to broadcast the series on its lifestyle channel Discovery Home and Health in the U.K.
Billed as a fast-moving U.S. talk show, The Dr. Oz Show is hosted by health expert, best-selling author and world-renowned cardiac surgeon Dr. Mehmet Oz.
With high levels of audience participation each show serves up daily challenges and plans for viewers through a variety of interactive show segments.
The series covers topics as diverse as disease prevention, beauty secrets, weight loss, sex and healthy eating.

The Dr. Oz Show, now approaching its fourth season, was first launched in the U.S. in September 2009. It has won four Emmys.
The show is co-produced by Harpo Productions and SPT.
