U.K. Independent Producer All3Media Signs Five-Year Deal With EMI Music Publishing

The agreement makes the music firm the exclusive representative of the music publishing rights for three All3Media companies, but more may be added later.

LONDON -- U.K. independent TV and film producer All3Media has signed a five-year music publishing deal with EMI Music Publishing.

The deal makes EMI Music Publishing the exclusive representative of the worldwide music publishing rights for three All3Media companies -- Bentley Productions, Company Pictures and Studio Lambert. So far, All3Media production companies have negotiated separate music publishing deals.

Financial details weren't disclosed.

Once proven, the deal could be rolled out across the entire All3Media group of 18 companies as other music publishing deals come to an end, the companies said.

"This deal is a perfect example of how All3Media is able to use its group leverage to deliver the best commercial and operational outcome," said All3Media COO Jane Turton.

Said EMI Music Publishing's James Carslake: "Their status as Britain’s largest independent television production company paired with increased overseas presence, highlights a significant opportunity to develop their music catalog."

Bentley is best known for producing the series Midsomer Murders. Company Pictures created Shameless and Skins, among others. Studio Lambert is the team behind such hit shows as Undercover Boss.

All3Media also produces Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and Peep Show.
