U.K. Police Investigating Complaint Against Harvey Weinstein From 10th Alleged Victim
London's Scotland Yard now has 15 accusations of sexual assault lodged against the disgraced producer dating back to the early '80s.
Scotland Yard's investigation into Harvey Weinstein has expanded to now include 10 alleged victims.
The latest allegation of sexual assault — one of 15 now lodged against the disgraced producer — was received Feb. 8 from a woman who claims Weinstein assaulted her in the London borough of Westminster in the mid-1990s. It is the first to have been received in 2018.
"Officers from the Met's Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command have received allegations of sexual assault from 10 victims under Operation Kaguyak," said Scotland Yard in a statement issued to The Hollywood Reporter. "There has been no arrest at this stage or interviews under caution."
Weinstein has denied all allegations of nonconsensual sex.
The latest investigation comes less than a week after a documentary called Working With Weinstein, containing several fresh allegations, aired on the U.K.'s Channel 4. Another documentary, Weinstein: The Inside Story in the U.K., is due to air on the BBC on Thursday and on PBS in the U.S. on Friday.
