TRK Kyiv seeking to double its audience

MOSCOW -- The Ukrainian capital's TV channel, TRK Kyiv, has announced plans to go national as part of a scheme to double the channel's audience, news portal Telekritika reported Thursday.

According to Kazbek Bektursunov, head of the Kyiv Media Holding, to which TRK Kyiv belongs, the channel will be available on a free-to-air basis in all of the country's regional centers by the end of this year. "We are in active negotiations about buying regional air time or entire channels," he added.
