Ukraine's Inter Media Group plans IPO

Move could raise $3 bil-plus for media giant

MOSCOW -- Ukrainian media giant U.A. Inter Media Group is planning an IPO in the second half of 2009, the company said Wednesday.

The move could bring the group $3 billion-$4 billion, "depending upon the advertising market and other factors," main shareholder Valery Khoroshkovsky told the Ukrainian paper Economic News.

Inter Media Group is Ukraine's largest TV company. It controls TV channels Inter, K1, K2, Megasport and NTN. This year, it said it is planning to develop niche channels for specific audiences.
