He will lead the operation with Katie Newman, who joins ITV Studios as executive producer drama.

The two join the company from Impossible Pictures, the producer of Primeval, which has been a success for ITV1. The show follows a team of scientists tasked with investigating temporal anomalies across the U.K., which lead to the appearance of prehistoric and future creatures.

Said Denise O’Donoghue, managing director of ITV Studios U.K.: "Tim and Katie both have a vast amount of experience developing and producing drama, not least with their work on Primeval. Under their expert direction, this new drama unit will contribute to the growth of our scripted production slate whilst complimenting the work of our other talented drama teams."
