'Unbranded' Documentary to Be Released by Gravitas
The audience award winner at the recent Hot Docs film festival will hit theaters in September.
Gravitas Ventures has acquired all U.S. rights to Unbranded, Phillip Baribeau’s documentary about four friends on a 3,000 mile journey across the American West on horseback.
The film, which took home the audience award at Toronto’s Hot Docs Film Festival, where it had its world debut, will debut in at least 25 theaters on Sept. 25 in collaboration with Tugg.
In addition to directing, Baribeau served as co-cinematographer with Korey Kaczmarek. Dennis Aig produced, with Cindy Meehl serving as exec producer.
The deal was negotiated by Nolan Gallagher for Gravitas and Wilder Knight of Pryor Cashman on behalf of the filmmakers.
