Uni sweet on 'Cookie' with Fisher

Universal Pictures has pre-emptively picked up "The Cookie Queen," a comedy from scribes Jeremy Haft and Ed Gonzalez to which Isla Fisher is attached to star. Fisher also is on board as a producer along with Mosaic Media.

The story follows Claire "Cookie" Taylor (Fisher), who holds the record for all-time Girl Scout cookie sales. When she learns that a precocious fifth grader threatens to end her 20-year reign as cookie queen, she sets out to sabotage her.

Universal's Holly Bario is shepherding for the studio.

Haft and Gonzalez, repped by Summit Talent & Literary and Nine Yards, wrote "Heckled," a comedy set up at New Line Cinema with Vince Vaughn attached.

Fisher, who recently signed with CAA, is best known for her breakout performance in "Wedding Crashers." She most recently appeared in Scott Frank's "The Lookout" and next appears in "Wedding Daze" opposite Jason Biggs. In the can, Fisher has "Definitely, Maybe" with Ryan Reynolds and Rachel Weisz and "Hot Rod" with Andy Samberg.

Fisher is additionally repped by Mosaic.
