Adam and Hillary Fogelson put their quaint La Costa Beach cottage on the market.

Adam Fogelson has just listed his Malibu beach house for $6.25 million, according to real estate blog Trulia.

The Universal Pictures chairman has owned the house for just over a year, but this doesn’t appear to be a flip. The price increase -- up from $5,350,000, when he purchased it in April 2012 -- is in line with normal appreciation. Still, that’s a whopping $3,800 a square foot for the two-bedroom, three-bath’s 1,628 square feet of space.

That said, the cottage style, single-floor home comes with 40 feet of prime beachfront along Malibu’s A-list area, La Costa Beach, where David Spade recently unloaded his beachfront home for $10,225,000 to Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos.

Fogelson’s home includes a private courtyard that leads to the home’s quaint interiors. Every room, including the chef’s kitchen and both bedrooms, comes with ocean views.

Fogelson was promoted to chairman of Universal Pictures in 2009, and his activist wife, Hillary, has worked tirelessly to raise awareness and funding for melanoma research. The couple also owns a 5,610-square foot home in Los Feliz that they purchased in 2005 for $4,507,000.
