Universal Dates Will Packer's 'Girls Trip'
It will be opening against the family-friendly 'Emoji Movie' and the film adaptation of the '70s TV show 'CHiPs.'
Universal has scheduled its Girls Trip.
The comedy from will hit theaters on Aug. 11, 2017.
Will Packer — the man behind the Ride Along and Think Like a Man franchises — will produce the movie that will be directed by Barbershop: The Next Cut helmer Malcolm D. Lee.
Girls Trip centers on four lifelong friends who travel to New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival.
