Universal promotes Alissa Grayson
Exec vp, national publicity oversees L.A., NYC, Toronto staff
In her new role, Grayson will oversee domestic publicity for all feature films released by Universal Pictures and oversee a department of 46 publicity staff members who are based in Los Angeles, New York City and Toronto.
Grayson is a 16-year vet of the studio's publicity department, working in various capacities and shepherding campaigns for films ranging from "Bruno" and "Wanted" to I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry" and "King Kong."
In the position of exec vp of national publicity, Grayson replaces Michael Moses, Universal's co-president of marketing who also held the post. Grayson, who will report to Moses, previously served as senior vp of publicity, a title she has held since 2006.
