U.S. Doc 'Circus Dreams' To Close Sprockets Fest
Toronto book-ends kids-friendly festival with American titles.
TORONTO -- The inspirational U.S. documentary Circus Dreams by Signe Taylor will close out the Sprockets Toronto International Film Festival for Children next month, organizers said Monday.
Taylor's feature-length film about young performers with Circus Smirkus who juggle and walk the tightrope as they deal with classic teen issues like gossip and burgeoning romance will receive a world premiere on April 17 at the kids-friendly festival aligned with the Toronto International Film Festival.
Fest organizers earlier announced that they will open their 14th edition with the world premiere of the Pixar Animation Studios short Hawaiian Vacation, along with a sneak peek at scenes from Disney Pixar's Cars 2.
In all, around 100 films from 28 countries will unspool at the Sprockets festival between April 5 and 17.
