UTA Adds Alternative Television Agent Seth Lawrence
His clients include the showrunners of 'Basketball Wives' and a director on 'Real Time with Bill Maher.'
UTA has hired alternative television agent Seth Lawrence, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Lawrence spent the past 13 years at the boutique agency Rebel Entertainment Partners, rising to senior vice president and helping to manage the eight agents in his department. There, he packaged or helped package Bravo’s Untying the Knot, Animal Planet’s The Last Alaskans and Destination America’s My Child Sees Dead People.
In addition to Untying the Knot divorce attorney Vikki Ziegler, Lawrence’s clients also include Basketball Wives showrunners Sean Rankin and Mark G. Seliga and their new banner Devil Cat Media, BET’s Curve Appeal co-creator Ianthe Jones, Real Time with Bill Maher director Paul Casey, author James Campbell (co-creator of The Last Alaskans and History’s Great Lake Warriors), 90 Miles Productions (NatGeo’s Building Wild and Die Trying), Mandt Bros. Productions (SyFy’s Destination Truth, Disney’s 2014 feature Million Dollar Arm) and documentary producer/director Sharon Liese (WEtv’s High School Confidential).
"Seth is a great agent with a keen instinct for talent in all forms," UTA partner and alternative TV head Brett Hansen said in a statement. "He will be a great addition to our alternative TV team."
