UTA Signs YouTube Breakout Elle Mills (Exclusive)
The Canadian vlogger grew from 15,000 to 1 million followers after her creative coming-out video went viral.
UTA has signed YouTube breakout Elle Mills, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
In April, the Ottawa native, 20, won the Shorty Award for Breakout YouTuber. With just 15,000 subscribers at the beginning of 2017, her coming-of-age vlogs (which The Washington Post called John Hughes-ian) began attracting a larger following, culminating in a November 2017 coming-out video that eventually pushed her past the one-million mark.
Mills, who began making home videos at age 8, now has more than 3.1 million followers across all her social media platforms. UTA will help her branch out into television, film, podcasting, books, touring and consumer products.
Mills continues to be repped by Creative Choice Management and Hansen Jacobson.
