Emmys: Uzo Aduba Wins Supporting Actress in a Drama Series
Andy Samberg hosted the Primetime Emmy Awards from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
Uzo Aduba took home the Emmy for supporting actress in a drama series for her performance in Orange Is the New Black at Sunday night's ceremony.
"If I could say thank you a thousand times it could not be enough for how I feel," she said of the show's creator, Jenji Kohan. "Thank you for creating a platform. I love you so much. I appreciate you for putting belief back in my heart."
Aduba continued to thank everyone important in her life including her agents, lawyers and her family.
"I love you mostly because you let me be me," added Aduba.
Aduba was up against Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey), Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Christine Baranski (The Good Wife) and Christina Hendricks (Mad Men) for the award. The honor marks Aduba's second Emmy win.
