'Veep' Co-Stars Try to Send Julia Louis-Dreyfus Motivational Quotes Ahead of Chemo

But they got stumped when Google suggested words spoken by Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein.

Sam Richardson and Matt Walsh continued the Veep cast trend of psyching up their leading lady, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, before her cancer treatment. However, the pair had difficulty finding motivational quotes that weren't spoken by controversial people — including Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein.

The Emmy-winning star announced her breast cancer diagnosis in September. Ahead of her third round of chemotherapy on Thursday, Richardson and Walsh sent Louis-Dreyfus a video of them Googling for inspiring words to "psyche" her up and get her ready for treatment.

"I believe in one thing only: the power of human will," quoted Richardson, who was quickly shot down by Walsh identifying the words as being spoken by Soviet dictator Josef Stalin.

When Walsh took a stab at it, he landed on a quote from Spacey. The former House of Cards star, who was fired by Netflix, is currently being investigated by London police, as more than a dozen sexual assault and harassment allegations have come to light in recent weeks.

"If you're lucky enough to do well it's your responsibility to send the elevator back down..." Walsh quoted, trailing off while being interrupted by Richardson. "It's Kevin Spacey. Too soon. I think it's best to avoid it."

They both agreed Spacey was "not as bad as Stalin" but then moved onto a Google suggestion, which happened to be from Weinstein. The disgraced Hollywood mogul has been accused of sexual assault and harassment by more than 70 women and has had police reports filed against him in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, New York and London.

"Well, that's a shame," said Richardson, effectively giving up.

The pair instead broke into a song and dance to Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger," something Louis-Dreyfus had referenced when taking to social media to give fans an update on her health last month. The cast is currently in production on the seventh and final season of HBO's Veep, which is expected to air in 2018.

In response to the video, the TV star thanked two of her "darling Bozos" for their efforts. "And guess what? It worked! I’m psyched AF," she wrote when sharing the video.
