Venice: Adam Driver Wins Best Actor for 'Hungry Hearts'
Alba Rohrwacher also won best actress for the film
Adam Driver is having quite the moment.
The Girls star won best actor at the Venice Film Festival on Saturday for his performance in Saverio Costanzo's drama Hungry Hearts. Alba Rohrwacher won best actress for the same film.
In the film, Driver and Rohrwacher play a couple who meet in New York City and face dire circumstances.
Swedish director Roy Andersson won the top Golden Lion prize for A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence.
Driver was nominated for an Emmy at last month's ceremony for his role as Adam on HBO's Girls. He soon can be seen in the ensemble comedy This Is Where I Leave You, hitting theaters Sept. 19.
