Verdict swift for Jones Reynolds


NEW YORK -- TruTV has canceled Star Jones Reynolds' legal-focused talk show after a six-month run.

The talk show ran 3 p.m. weekdays. The last episode will be today.fri "Arrest & Trial" will run in that slot

"Due to the rebranding and programming refocus of the network, truTV and Star Jones Reynolds have mutually agreed to cease production of the Star Jones show," said a memo from Marc Juris, executive vp and GM of the channel formerly known as Court TV.

The show, which began in August, showcased Reynolds' work as a TV host and former lawyer. She will remain with the network as a contributor to the channel's trial coverage.

Reynolds, who was an assistant district attorney and senior assistant district attorney in Brooklyn, N.Y., began her broadcast career with Court TV in 1991. She also has worked for NBC and "Inside Edition" and became co-host of ABC chatfest "The View" in 1997.

She left "The View" in 2006 after her contract wasn't renewed.
