Verizon signs new content partners


Verizon Wireless has signed a slew of new content partners including MTV-owned Atom Entertainment and The Weather Channel in connection with rollout of a new application, Adobe Flash Lite. Handsets with Verizon's patented Get It Now technology will enable deployment of casual games including Shockwave Minis, produced by Atom Entertainment, that are based on MTV Networks franchises such as "Pimp My Ride" and "SpongeBob SquarePants." Also new to the platform via Adobe Flash Lite is gaming based on the NBC series "The Office" from company IndiaGames.
