Tony Gilroy's 'Book of Guns' is set as the first project from Simon Mirren and David Wolstencroft's Atlantic Nomad.

Platform One has signed a first-look deal with Atlantic Nomad, the nine-month-old production company from the creative team behind Versailles, Simon Mirren and David Wolstencroft, and former Kew Media Group head of film Jamie Carmichael (Thank You for Smoking).

The Book of Guns from Bourne and Rogue One writer Tony Gilroy is set to be the first project out of the gate. Mirren and Wolstencroft will executive produce based on an original script from Gilroy.

Mirren and Wolstencroft called Gilroy "The Godfather" when announcing the project. "A master storyteller at the very top of his game. We could not be more excited," they added.

"Simon and David have such an impressive pedigree and have created and produced wonderfully successful global television series,” said Platform One CEO Katie O'Connell Marsh. “Working together with the incomparable Tony Gilroy on The Book of Guns alongside Simon and David is a thrilling first project for us.”

Three additional shows are currently in the Atlantic Nomads' pipeline: a Berlin-set art world thriller The Art of War; U.K.-based spy series The Knowledge and the L.A.-set crime drama Hammerhead, following a mother who gets caught up in organized crime in the port of San Pedro.

The internationally focused indie production studio was launched in July 2017, backed by TPG Growth's Evolution Media and John Malone's Liberty Global.
