Veteran production designer dies

Bob Rappaport was art director for 'Mike Douglas Show'

Veteran production designer Bob Rappaport died of cardiac arrest Jan. 28 in Lakeland, Fla. He was 67.

The Pittsburgh native served for 10 years as the art director of "The Mike Douglas Show" and was production designer for a decade on the Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants.

Other credits include game shows "Let's Make a Deal," "Split Second" and "Scrabble"; daytime soaps "Santa Barbara" and "Days of Our Lives"; and entertainment news show "PM Magazine."
