'The Veteran' taps two producers
Kim Leggatt, Debbie Shuter to work on Matthew Hope filmLONDON -- U.K. producers Kim Leggatt and Debbie Shuter are on point for writer/director Matthew Hope's "The Veteran," a movie about a young soldier who returns from Afghanistan and becomes embroiled in the clandestine surveillance of suspected terrorists in Britain.
Co-written by Hope and former SAS counter-terrorism specialist Robert Henry Craft, the project is scheduled to shoot here in June with backing from private equity and British-based financier Premiere Picture.
Hope and Craft have used the former SAS operative's experiences of directing and carrying out location and elimination operations of high value terrorists over two decades to write the script.
Leggatt and Shuter will produce under their DMK Productions banner under which Hope also operates.
