The LAPD received calls around 7:30 a.m. from neighbors saying a woman was screaming and shots had been fired in an apartment in the 300 block of Hauser Boulevard, officer Jack Richter told The Hollywood Reporter.

Responding officers discovered the apartment was barricaded, which required the area to be locked down and a SWAT team called, Richter said. SWAT team members discovered two dead people inside the apartment.

Richter said the Los Angeles County Coroner's office has not yet released the names, pending notification of family members.
