Victoria Ashbourne appointed at SPT

Named svp creative development international production

LONDON -- Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has wooed Celador Production exec Victoria Ashbourne to the post of svp creative development, international production, it was announced Monday.

Reporting to SPT's London-based chief creative officer and evp international production, Mike Morley, Ashbourne will be charged with boosting SPT's role as a global producer/distributor of light entertainment, non-scripted formats and scripted programming, with a remit to "guide the creation" of new shows across all of SPTs international companies and exploit its back catalogue.

Ashbourne joins SPT from Celador Productions -- CPL -- where she worked on such shows as "All Star Mr & Mrs," "Celebratng the Carpenters," and "The Paul O'Grady Show."

"Victoria's extensive production experience and network successes in the U.K. give her the pedigree to become a valued member of our global creative team," said Morley.

SPT's light entertainment slate is fast emerging as the freshest in the international format business and Victoria will help us build on that success," he added.
