Victoria Beckham Celebrates Her Spring Collection in L.A.
The posh British designer feted her famous friends with a fancy dinner at Barneys Beverly Hills — and confessed she misses her former home of L.A.
Leave it to Victoria and David Beckham to bring out Tinseltown's biggest names — including Gwyneth Paltrow, James Cordon, Kate Beckinsale, Eva Longoria, Rose Byrne, major Hollywood stylists Rachel Zoe, Petra Flannery, Elizabeth Stewart, Penny Lovell, and London-based stylist Elizabeth Saltzman (reunited with client Paltrow to much hugging and shrieking). The A-lister crowd gathered at Fred's restaurant on the fifth floor of Barneys Beverly Hills on Tuesday night in celebration of Victoria's spring 2015 collection.
A number of very long tables on the restaurant's private patio also played host to major L.A. fashionistas like stylist Jane Ross, fashion celebrity coordinator Crystal Lourd, eyebrow queen Anastasia Soare (who did Beckham's eyebrows that day), manager Joanne Horowitz, jewelry designer Irene Neuwirth, and a big host of others including talent manager David Unger.

Victoria was in fine form — and despite her non-smiling, seemingly haughty facial expressions in photos — she was warm, fun and went around the tables to introduce herself to every single guest there (something you don't usually see at any kind of Hollywood party). Wearing a white short-sleeved dress from her own collection, with her dark tresses piled up on her head and her traditional smoky eye makeup, she admitted to The Hollywood Reporter that she still gets giddy when she sees her collections on display in Barneys' windows.
"I made David stop the car and was totally excited. I was wearing jeans, a T-shirt and trainers, and I could not believe I had four windows at Barneys! It's a store I shop in all the time, and the team really knows what they're doing," she said seeing her dresses on display while driving with Beckham and their four kids over the weekend. "I am their customer, so I know their customer. Their edit of collections is really, really strong. I've been designing my line for seven years now, and I pinch myself every day because I'm getting to do what I really, really love."
She also admitted how much she misses her former home of Los Angeles, where she resided when David played for the L.A. Galaxy team.
"I come back whenever the kids are on school holiday — I really miss it! London is our home of course, but L.A. is our home too. It was our home for six years," shared the designer, who still has many close friends in the City of Angels. "But being in London has allowed me to grow my business in ways I didn't expect. We're now doing pre-collections, so I design twenty collections a year and pre-collection is selling really well. Now I'm opening a showroom and offices in New York. Clearly, I really love the U.S.!"

While Burberry CEO Christopher Bailey is in town to host a huge party on Thursday night at the Griffith Park Observatory for the opening of Burberry's Beverly Hills grand boutique, we couldn't help but wonder — what is he doing at another designer's dinner?
"I know David and Victoria quite well, and I wanted to come and celebrate how successful she's been," explained Bailey. "It's a big week in L.A. for the Brits!" Indeed.
