The designer will work with the Microsoft-owned company to chronicle her career in the fashion industry.

After launching an e-commerce site for her namesake label and planning her first store in London, Victoria Beckham is now jumping into film.

The former Spice Girl is partnering with Skype on a fashion documentary that will take a look back at her five years as a designer, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. The film will also involve viewer interaction.

Vogue UK reported that the idea likely stemmed from Beckham making a statement in 2010 about using the videoconferencing system and spending most nights "curled up in front of Skype, in my dressing gown, speaking with my studio in London."

"In just five short years, Victoria Beckham and her team have built a hugely successful international fashion brand," the Microsoft-owned company wrote on its blog. "A journey which Skype is proud to have played a part in enabling." This collaboration will be the first foray into fashion for Skype.
