'Life of Crime' Trailer: Jennifer Aniston Gets Kidnapped (Video)

Tim Robbins and Isla Fisher co-star in caper film based on the Elmore Leonard novel.

Jennifer Aniston is a kidnapped woman whose husband doesn't want her back in the first trailer for caper film Life of Crime.

Aniston stars as Mickey, whose wealthy husband, Frank (Tim Robbins), has been cheating on her with another woman (Isla Fisher).

Just as Frank has finally filed for divorce from Mickey, he learns that a group of bumbling thugs kidnapped her. Needless to say, Frank isn't too quick to pony up the million-dollar ransom.

"He just filed for divorce," Fisher's character explains to the kidnappers about Frank. "You tell him he's never gonna see his wife again? He doesn't want to see his wife again. You just saved him a hundred grand a year in alimony."

John Hawkes, Yasiin Bey (a.k.a Mos Def) and Will Forte co-star.

Daniel Schechter wrote and directed the film. The movie is based on the 1978 Elmore Leonard novel The Switch, which happens to be the same name of an unrelated Aniston comedy from 2010.

Aniston is fresh off the success of last summer's hit comedy We're the Millers. Robbins appeared in miniseries The Spoils of Babylon earlier this year on IFC.

Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions will release Life of Crime on August 29. The film premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.
