Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o has been mulling her next role for quite some time. The 12 Years a Slave actress made a big move by nabbing a role in J.J. Abrams' Star Wars film.

Sometimes a girl just needs to make a little cash while in college. Or at least try.

Before Lupita Nyong'o scored an Oscar, landed her first Vogue cover or fronted a Lancome campaign, she was just an undergrad at Hampshire College and grad student at Yale School of Drama. And if you were lucky to be her BFF then, it's likely she would have braided your hair, according to a new short film from Vogue.

The three-minute video shows the actress, Vogue's latest cover star, braiding her pals' hair while recalling the days when braiding hair was her "side hustle." Even though she made posters to advertise her skills, she notes that she never made any money because she "never had the heart to charge anyone." Instead, it became one of her favorite hobbies, especially in class.

In case you're wondering what qualifies you to become Nyong'o's next BFF (and to eventually get your hair braided), she shared: "I think I'm just attracted to people who are honest and expressive. I like playful people as well, people who are not afraid of their inner child." Well, anytime you want to braid our hair, we're here for you, Lupita.
