The Hollywood Reporter presents an exclusive clip from Monday's MasterChef season 5 premiere. In the clip, judge Joe Bastianich is getting upset.

The Fox cooking competition show features culinary experts Gordon Ramsay, Graham Elliot and Bastianich as they test the 30 contestants' mettle and begin to determine which home chef deserves the cookbook deal and cash prize.

In this clip, Bastianich dresses down a contestant for throwing trash and food on the floor around her cooking station. "This is not gonna fly -- this is disgusting," Bastianich admonishes. "This is dangerous, you're gonna fall, you're gonna hurt yourself, you're gonna hurt me and I'm just not gonna tolerate it."

One challenge that the hopefuls will face this season is to prepare a meal for over 500 servicemen and women on an Army base, which is the show's all-time biggest field challenge. Other tasks this season include preparing dinner for a beach wedding and taking over the kitchen at a beloved Hollywood restaurant.

Last season's winner is Luca Manfe, who will soon release his cookbook, My Italian Kitchen. Season 3's winner is Christine Ha, the first blind MasterChef contestant, whose cookbook hit the New York Times Best Seller list.

MasterChef airs 8 p.m. ET/PT Mondays on Fox.
