Viewers have 'Dance' fever; Fox wins Thurs.


NEW YORK -- "So You Think You Can Dance" led Fox to wins in Thursday's primetime TV.

The network won 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. in the key adults 18-49 demographic, while CBS came close over the entire night in viewership, ending up in second place behind Fox. "Dance" (9.6 million, 3.5 rating/11 share in adults 18-49) was the top show in viewership and the demo, according to preliminary estimates released Friday by Nielsen Media Research.

"Don't Forget the Lyrics" (7.8 million, 2.9/10) won at 8 p.m. in both demos, followed by CBS's "Big Brother" (7.1 million, 2.6/9). Repeats on ABC, NBC and the CW weren't factors between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. "Dance" won 9 p.m. with a repeat "CSI" (9 million, 2.5/8) coming in second.

CBS returned to the top at 10 p.m. with a repeat "Without a Trace" (9 million, 2.4/7) beating a repeat "ER" (2.7 million, 1.1/3) and a repeat "Men in Trees" (3.6 million, 1.0/3).

Thursday averages: Fox (8.7 million, 3.2/10); CBS (8.3 million, 2.5/8); ABC (3.7 million, 1.1/4); NBC (3.6 million, 1.5/5); and the CW (2 million, 0.8/3).
