Vincent Walsh to Star in Canadian Cop Drama 'Played'

The Irish-Canadian actor takes the lead role in the CTV scripted drama shooting in Toronto through September 2013.

VANCOUVER – Irish-Canadian actor Vincent Walsh has snagged the lead in Played, the CTV cop drama from Muse Entertainment and Back Alley Film Productions.

The 13-partner will see Walsh play detective John Moreland as part of an undercover police unit infiltrating criminal organizations through varied case stories, or "plays."

Walsh’s other TV credits include playing Andrew Stacey in the Deception series and Lachlan in Lost Girl.

The cast for Played, which is now shooting in Toronto through September 2013, includes Chandra West, Lisa Marcos, Dwain Murphy, Agam Darshi and Adam Butcher.

Played was created by Greg Nelson, who also serves as executive producer and co-showrunner with Adrienne Mitchell, the pilot director.

The scripted drama will also be directed by Charles Binamé, Jerry Ciccoritti, Kelly Makin, Rachel Talalay, Lee Rose and Paul Fox.
