Violett Beane Teases What’s to Come on 'The Flash' | In Studio
Beane also stars on Fox's new medical drama 'The Resident.'
Not only is Violett Beane starring in Fox’s new medical drama The Resident, but she’s also returning as Jesse Wells in The CW’s The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
She sat down with The Hollywood Reporter In Studio to discuss working on The Resident, and what fans can expect from the DC Comics shows.
On what she thinks makes The Resident different from other medical shows, Beane told THR that the show pulls back the curtain on what it’s really like in a busy hospital. “I think that’s the main thing that the show is doing so well at is diving behind what you usual see when you watch or think of a medical drama. It really dives into what happens behind closed doors at a hospital, which is a lot.”
Beane also spoke on returning to The CW’s The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, which are filming at the same time. “It’s kind of a lot, but it’s fun,” she told THR.
As to what fans can expect from Jesse Wells on The Flash, she said, “Jesse comes back to help out The Flash because he can’t handle a city on his own. He needs some help so she’s back and they are stopping a nuclear bomb from detonating that would basically destroy all of Central City.”
While she spilled some details on The Flash, Beane was a bit more tight-lipped with Legends. “I can’t give away too much,” she said. “Jesse’s coming back, she talks to Wally, it’s a little romantic, there’s a little something there.”
