Russia’s national TV channels targeted

MOSCOW -- Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has called on the country’s national TV channels to air more educational content. He was speaking during his meeting with heads of the country’s TV channels on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the TV channel NTV.

“There’s a need for more educational shows, especially those targeting the younger generations,” the prime minister was reported to say. During his speech a week earlier, he mentioned the possibility of commissioning TV shows by the government.
