Warner Bros. names two executives
Wendy Alysworth, Spencer Stephens appointedWendy Aylsworth has been upped to senior vp at Warner Bros. Technical Operations and Spencer Stephens has been named vp production technology at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group.
In his newly created position, Stephens will oversee the development, evaluation and implementation of new technologies in the studio's motion picture and TV production.
In her new post, Aylsworth will oversee the establishment of new technologies for Warners' production divisions and assess their impact on content creation and distribution. Her department participates in national and international technical standards efforts and trade organizations to promote commonality for the benefit of the entertainment sector.
Aylsworth had been vp technology since 1999. She joined the studio in 1994 as director of technology in the studio's feature animation division. Before that, she managed the software department for theme park rides and directed the engineering efforts for animation at Disney.
Stephens has been integral in creating templates for production on Telepictures Prods.' "TMZ," which offers a virtually tapeless newsroom, and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," which has moved to the lot and begins taping there Sept. 3.
He was vp and GM of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Imaging. Stephens joined Warner Bros. Technical Operations in 2002 as vp technology.
