Warners ups pair to vp prod'n
EmptyWarner Bros. Pictures has promoted Matt Reilly and Sarah Schechter to the posts of vp production.
Warner Bros. Pictures president Kevin McCormick praised the pair's taste in material as well as their relationships with filmmakers. "It's been a pleasure to watch them develop their skills as they rise up through the ranks here," he said.
Reilly most recently worked on "We Are Marshall," "TMNT," "The Brave One" and "Michael Clayton."
Reilly joined Warner Bros. as a creative executive in May 2004 and was promoted to production executive in March 2006. Before joining Warner Bros., he was head of development at Marcus Nispel's independent production company. He began his career in film first as an assistant at CAA, then as an agent trainee at Endeavor.
Schechter has most recently worked on such films as "I Am Legend" and "Sweeney Todd" as well as the upcoming "Get Smart," "Body of Lies" and "Watchmen." She joined Warner Bros. as a creative exec in June 2005 and, like Reilly, was also promoted to production executive in March 2006.
Before joining Warner Bros., Schechter was a creative exec at Barry Mendel Prods. at Universal and oversaw "The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou" and worked on "Munich" and "The Royal Tenenbaums."
