The singer performed at the BBMAs for the second year in a row fresh off the success of her two albums, 'Sweetener' and 'Thank U, Next.'

Ariana Grande didn't take the stage at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday night, but she did deliver a prerecorded performance from a sold-out Sweetener tour stop.

Grande sang "7 Rings" from Vancouver, backed by pink-clad dancers and a spray-painted car like the one featured in the song's music video.

The pop superstar is up for nine awards this year, including top artist and top female artist.

She's certainly no stranger to the BBMAs, and she even opened the show last year with "no tears left to cry."

Since then, Grande has released two albums: Sweetener, which marked her third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 albums chart; and Thank U, Next, which topped the Billboard 200 just under six months later.

Grande is among the ceremony's long list of performers, which includes the Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift with Brendon Urie, BTS featuring Halsey, Ciara, Tori Kelly, Madonna and Maluma, Khalid, and Icon Award recipient Mariah Carey.

The 2019 BBMAs are being hosted by Kelly Clarkson for the second year in a row from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and airing on NBC.

The Billboard Music Awards is produced by Dick Clark Productions — a division of Valence Media, the parent company of the Billboard-Hollywood Reporter Media Group.
