President Barack Obama held his final press conference as Commander-in-Chief on Wednesday afternoon.

He took reporters' questions for the last time in the White House briefing room, as the outgoing president will welcome President-elect Donald Trump to the White House on Friday ahead of Trump's swearing in as the 45th president of the United States.

Obama delivered his farewell address to the nation last week in Chicago, where he gave a rousing and inspiring speech that both looked back at his presidential accomplishments and ahead at his hopes for the future.

The news conference was scheduled for 2:15 p.m. ET. Watch a replay of the live stream below.
