Watch Spike Lee Read a List of 40 Great Brooklynites to Bernie Sanders

The director rattled off an impressive roster of names in just 29 seconds as he and the Democratic presidential candidate sat down together for THR's annual New York issue.

Spike Lee sat down with presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders, both Brooklyn natives, for The Hollywood Reporter's New York issue and showed just how rooted he was in his hometown.

In the video above, part of Lee's cover story interview with Sanders, the Chi-Raq director rattles off a list of 40 celebrities who hail from the New York City borough to Sanders in just 29 seconds. Without skipping a beat, he lists names including Barbra Streisand, John Turturro, Mike Tyson, Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld, Joan Rivers, Woody Allen, Mel Brooks, Larry David, Jay Z and Jimmy Kimmel as Sanders laughs in amazement.

Lee concludes his list of "Brooklyn's finest" by pointing to Sanders and saying, "And you!"
