Watch the Times Square New Year's Eve Celebration Live

For the first time, the event will feature a virtual New Year's Eve experience, as audiences tune into the live-stream from home.

Although this year's live event is closed to the public, audiences everywhere will still be able to ring in the new year via live stream to witness the annual New Year's Eve ball drop in New York's Times Square.

Actor and TV personality Jonathan Bennett will return to serve as the host of the Times Square New Year’s Eve Celebration after hosting in 2019 and 2016. Bennett is known for starring in Mean Girls and Hallmark holiday film The Christmas House, in addition to hosting Food Network’s Halloween Wars and Holiday Wars.

This year’s celebration will feature the festivities in Times Square, beginning with the ball raising at 6 p.m. EST, followed by live musical performances, hourly countdowns, behind-the-scenes moments and star-studded interviews, all leading up to the the famous ball drop at midnight.

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Andra Day will headline the commercial-free webcast and TV pool feed, as she continues the New Year’s Eve tradition of singing John Lennon's "Imagine" just before the ball drops. 

Additional performers include Gloria Gaynor, Pitbull, Anitta, Jennifer Lopez, Billy Porter, Cyndi Lauper, Jimmie Allen and Machine Gun Kelly.

For the first time, the event will feature a virtual New Year's Eve experience filled with games, music and art. Audiences will also be able to choose from multiple camera feeds to direct their own viewing experience.

The Times Square New Year's Eve celebration webcast will begin at 6 p.m. ET on Dec. 31 and end at 12:15 a.m. ET.
