WBITD elevates Robertson in Asia

Greg Robertson has been upped to senior vp and managing director, Asia Pacific, at Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.

Warner Bros. International Television president Jeffrey Schlesinger made the announcement Tuesday.

"Greg is an outstanding executive with a deep understanding of traditional and emerging media platforms as well as great relationships with broadcasters throughout the region," Schlesinger said.

A 21-year WB veteran, Robertson will be responsible for the company's program-licensing activities throughout Asia and the Pacific Rim, including Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore.

This includes the sale of television series, theatrical motion pictures, movies for television and animation to free and pay TV operators over terrestrial, cable, satellite and IPTV platforms. He also oversees the licensing of those titles to selected new media clients in ad-supported video-on-demand and subscription VOD.

Based in Sydney, Robertson will report to Malcolm Dudley-Smith, WBITD executive vp international sales and business development.

Robertson most recently was the company's vp and managing director, Asia Pacific. Before joining WBITD, he was sales manager for Lorimar-Telepictures in Sydney.
