'Wedding' is a little bit country

Arnold-hosted reality series is CMT's to have and hold

CMT is getting hitched to "My Big Redneck Wedding."

The cable network has given an eight-episode order to "Wedding," a matrimony-themed unscripted series that Tom Arnold has been tapped to host.

Each episode of the series, produced by Pink Sneakers Entertainment, will feature a different wedding, following the "most down-home country couples" as they take their trip down the aisle. The series will spotlight each wedding's "rustic eccentricities," whether it is a four-legged best man, a romantic beer-can canopy, a celebratory shotgun salute or a reception filled with mattress surfing and mud wrestling.

"Wedding" is set to premiere at 9:30 p.m. Jan. 11. Bob Kusbit and Lewis Bogach are executive producers for CMT.

Arnold has co-hosted series like Fox Sports Net's "Best Damn Sports Show Period." The actor-comedian also recently appeared in such feature films as "Happy Endings" and "Pride." Other recent include writing and starring in the film "The Kid & I."
