Emmys: Meet the Show's Announcer, Jermaine Fowler
The actor stars on CBS' comedy 'Superior Donuts.'
Late Show host Stephen Colbert may be the host of the 69th annual Emmy Awards, but it's Jermaine Fowler's voice that viewers are hearing throughout the entirety of the show as the show's voiceover announcer.
Fowler is also appearing on-camera throughout the show, which is unusual for the role. Typically, announcers for awards shows work entirely behind the scenes.
Known for starring in CBS' comedy Superior Donuts, Fowler is no stranger to lending his voice to television work.
BoJack Horseman and Family Guy are just a few of the shows on his resume, which also includes extensive stand-up work.
Superior Donuts, meanwhile, centers on the owner of a small donut shop that's located in a quickly gentrifying Chicago neighborhood. Also starring Judd Hirsch, the show's second season premieres Oct. 30.
